"Third Time’s a Charm, and the Fourth One’s Hitching a Ride"
is a paired installation exploring the awakening process and the hidden truths we fail to uncover. It examines the intersection of the spiritual and material, reflecting on how our shift from producing to consuming has flattened our connection to the natural world.

"Third Time’s a Charm" installation consists of a metal flip book with cross-stitch embroidered animation. Akka portrays two deer in a state between awakening and lamenting, attempting to revive the land. The leaves of the tree are composed of their own bodies, resembling roots that scream to be alive.
