Akka Hamdan is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, performer, and instructor based in Amman. Her practice involves a variety of kinetic and visual mediums, constructing a framework of questioning through a philosophical lens. She explores the relationship between humans and geography, addressing themes of place, identity, nature, and diaspora.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts—Multimedia from the University of Jordan and began a professional folklore training program in 2017 under the supervision of El Funoun Palestinian Popular Dancing Troupe in Jordan. Akka is a founding member of Majdal Dance Troupe, which specialises in contemporary Palestinian folklore dance (Dabkeh), established in 2019. She has taught folklore to adolescents across various Jordanian governorates through initiatives with organisations such as JRS, Al Balad Theatre, the Orphan Child Welfare Association, and Artolution.

She was an artist-in-residence at Jordan National Gallery for Fine Arts 2024, Goethe Institute Cairo and Hau Hebbel Am Ufer 2024, "Takween," Goethe Institute Amman 2023, and Studio 8 in "Choreography Creation Camp" (CCC) with Majdal Dance Troupe 2020. ​​​​​​​
